Going to the Doctor

 This book describes the activity of going to the doctor for a check-up using 12 simple clear pictures.

There is a visual of a clock used to show we have to wait in the waiting room. The waiting room can be difficult and it may be useful to bring the Going to the Doctor book with you to show the stage/picture that you are at. Talk about the other people in the waiting room and that you have to sit for a while until the doctor is ready.

It may also be helpful to use the book as a tool to ‘play doctors’ at home and for your child to get used to the idea that the doctor will check their ears and listen to their chest.
